Suction Adapter Device
Traditional Laparoscopic Suction does not work. It constantly clogs or requires irrigation to function correctly. Sometimes this results in surgeons dismantling it during surgery, a time consuming yet common practice.
We have designed a suction device that does not clog. Our invention allows for ease of flow, preventing stoppage in the tubing or cannula. If constructed of metal, the device separates into two simple pieces to be sanitized at the conclusion of a surgical procedure. Our device can also be constructed of plastic, which enables it to be easily disposed of as a single use-unit. With this invention, irrigation is never required.
